To enable local authorities to discharge their duties in relation to housing stock and associated housing benefits more efficiently.
Information sharing benefits
To benefit customers by making housing stock available more quickly to new tenants; reduce potential distress to the families of deceased people who receive demands for payment. Also prevents lost of income from tenants reaching the public purse.
