- Purpose
- Access to civil registration information is necessary to augment existing death notifications received under the Tell Us Once initiative. The Local Authority has a duty of care where the person registering a death does not use the Tell Us Once process as they may be unaware of the services provided.
- Information sharing benefits
- The sharing of this data will lead to financial and non-monetary benefits. Prompt action in regards to a notification of death can benefit carers; care teams and WSCC by leading to better financial and communication management allowing for a more compassionate approach as well as improving data quality and better management of data retention/management.
