Adults’ Services Systems and Information Team and Registration Service; The Record Office sharing death registration data

Purpose
Access to civil registration information is necessary to augment existing death notifications received under the Tell Us Once initiative. The Local Authority has a duty of care where the person registering a death does not use the Tell Us Once process as they may be unaware of the services provided.
Information sharing benefits
The sharing of this data will lead to financial and non-monetary benefits. Prompt action in regards to a notification of death can benefit carers; care teams and WSCC by leading to better financial and communication management allowing for a more compassionate approach as well as improving data quality and better management of data retention/management. .cv
