- Purpose
- The Cabinet Office are seeking to understand the quality of pre-employment checks undertaken using Internal Fraud Hub data; and the extent to which the policy is mitigating against the risk of internal fraud.
- Information sharing benefits
- It will demonstrate the quality of pre-employment checks being undertaken by specific government departments and associated recruitment agencies;
it will indicate whether and where non-participation in the Internal Fraud Policy is leading to greater exposure of risk; and
it will provide a more detailed overview of risk to inform an evaluation report and potential further policy development. In doing so it will enable the Cabinet Office to plan the development of future prevention work relating to internal fraud.
- Disclosed information
- The Cabinet Office will disclose name; address; DOB and NINO of high risk individuals to HMRC for matching. HMRC will return anonymous information to the Cabinet Office that indicates employment status
