- Purpose
- To deliver a helpline service to citizens in support of the Warm Home Discount Scheme (WHDS) for winter 2022/23.
- Information sharing benefits
- The WHDS 2022/23 will provide an energy bill rebate to approx. three million low income households who meet the scheme's eligibility criteria. Data sharing between the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Business; Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) will enable BEIS' contracted service provider to deliver a helpline service to citizens in support of the WHDS. The helpline will process and respond to calls and written correspondence from citizens relating to the WHDS.
- Disclosed information
- DWP will share personal details relating to confirmed eligible and potentially eligible recipients of a WHD with BEIS' contracted helpline service provider. Electronic access to DWP’s Citizen Application Programming Interface (CAPI) will also be enabled to support the helpline in processing prospective eligibility calls from citizens.
Data relating to call outcomes will be returned to DWP at the end of the scheme year.
