- Purpose
- The council wants to assist residents who are affected by multiple disadvantages by bringing a wide set of council and partner data together into a single, holistic view to:
- Identify those with multiple disadvantages in relation to financial exclusion, homelessness, unemployment, being a child in need, ASB, offending, domestic violence, having a disability, irregular attendance at school.
- Improve the physical, mental, emotional, social or economic well-being of residents and families.
- Support case work by sharing information with partners and other council departments and offer more targeted services.
- Enable a preventative approach to service delivery through understanding vulnerabilities alongside each other and minimise the escalation of need.
- Information sharing benefits
- Allows LBBD to provide earlier interventions for vulnerable families to prevent escalating need and offer more holistic support as frontline professionals are able to have a single view of a whole household. Data is shared to understand wider vulnerabilities and mitigate risks to residents and households.
